Snake Bark Maple

We now have in stock two types of Snake Bark Maple: Acer capillipes 2" cal, 6-7' and Acer pensylvanicum 2" cal., 6-7'.

The Acer capillipes that we have are multi-stem. This is a deciduous, small rounded low branched tree, bark is greenish to reddish brown with white stripes. Fall color is yellow to red. The tree does well in sun to partial shade and grows to approximately 30' x 30'.

The Acer pensylvanicum are single stem trees. Also deciduous, a small tree with upright arching branches forming an irregular round crown. Smooth green bark with white stripes. Prefers partial shade, moist soil and grows to approximately 20' x 20'.
